1967 Year Book
A traditional style yearbook, approximately 120 pages, 8.5 x 11 on matte coated 80 lb white, with hardbound (sewn signature) Purple linen cloth cover that is Hot stamped on front only with Silver foil. Find credits given to the Yearbook committee on page 118. No message from Gertrude … she has not contributed to any Yearbook since 1960 for reasons unknown. Heinz takes over providing the annual message on page 4 titled “The Future of Windsor” signed in all lower case “heinz e. bondy.” Heinz worries … “Windsor, with the help from its students, must find a solution to the unhappiness, dissatisfaction, and alienation from the “real” world which [is] more pronounced and wide-spread than ever before.” Very little other text … mostly student and other poems. In this year there were numerous photographers, but photos are not identified. Faculty is featured first, Seniors come next (because this is Roger Barth book, there many salutations), activities and sports get sprinkled between sections, Dorm Photos (no captions), Student Council/Court, Yearbook Committee and sponsors.
Highlights: the American cultural renaissance is coming, Windsor is showing signs of change with some male long hair, mini skirts, etc. Students are still dressing for dinner which is followed by Assembly down at the Theater.
