1960 Yearbook
A traditional style yearbook, approximately 100 pages, 8.5 x 11 on coated 80 lb white, with hardbound (sewn signature) blue cloth cover that is silk screen printed with white ink. The beginning of book tells the story of the school and features the faculty (first name only – the Windsor tradition) and a lengthy message from Gertrud. Seniors are listed at the end, followed by sponsors and numerous pages of advertisers (not included).
Highlights: Bill KaDell was Student Council President, and his words of wisdom and gift to the future (last page) are par for Bill. The school history is a good read, as are the three pages of Gertrud’s “Realizations” and “The Result” (pg 54). The school was always small, and in 1960 it was 100+ (growing to 400+ in 1970), and the yearbook features dorm group pictures. There are loads of photos, oddly there are many pages dedicated to sports from tennis to field hockey, even music, and with Franny Hall, several theater productions – keep in mind the Theater has not yet been built.
