1959 Year Book
A traditional style yearbook, approximately 80 pages, 8.5 x 11 on coated 80 lb white, with hardbound (sewn signature) dark blue cloth cover that is silk screen printed with white ink. The beginning of book tells the story of the school and features the faculty (first name only – the Windsor tradition) each handwriting a message. Seniors are listed near the front with pen sketches, including an 8th grade “Commencment” and “Graduation” (with Senior Prom). There are poems, Valedictory speech, followed by sponsors and numerous pages of advertisers (not included). There is no mention of Student Council, but there are (for some reason) baby pictures.
Highlights: Gertrud’s “Orgins” and school history are worth reading). Heinz still very young to be Headmaster, writes that the future of the school is to remain small, thus reducing to about 150 students (10 students less). He has a wish list for a dining room, a stage, and new girls dorm. He tells students not to be afraid of being called an egghead, a longhair, or and intellectual … to resist the lure of the crowd and stand up for what he [she] believes.
